E’stata certamente una delle piu’ complesse ed interessanti rappresentazioni a cui abbia mai assistito.
La pubblicazione del libro a Vienna risale al Novembre 1899. La nascita della psicoanalisi ( nuova scienza che indagava gli aspetti nascosti della psiche e aveva scoperto l’inconscio) nasce quindi a Vienna, che nel 1900 contava gia’ due milioni di abitanti. Essa era la capitale di un vasto impero cosmopolita che comprendeva, oltre l’Austria, l’Ungheria,la Boemia e la Cecoslovacchia. Si affaccia una nuova generazione di artisti, musicisti e letterati quasi tutti ebrei: Mahler e Klimt tra i piu’ noti.
